Early access for K-12

Help families find answers on your school and district website, with sources they can check

Bus times, calendars, enrollment forms, lunch menus, who to call. Clema reads your public pages, calendars and PDFs, then answers in plain language and links the page behind every answer. Early access, proven first on a live K-12 district.

Running in a live pilot with a U.S. K-12 district. Added to your site with a short script, and our team does the setup with you.

Running on a live school district

  • 50 of 50

Questions answered correctly on a set we wrote for the district, graded by an AI judge.

  • 14 of 14

Multi-turn conversations handled, including follow-ups like "what is her email?"

  • A district and its schools

What the pilot site set covered. No college is live yet.

Our own tests on one district. Not an independent audit, and not a promise for your site. When a demo turned up a mistake, such as an outdated job title, we added it to the test set permanently.

The answer is on your website. Families cannot find it.

District sites hold calendars, handbooks, forms, menus, bus schedules and hundreds of PDFs. A parent looking for the early release date or kindergarten shot requirements ends up calling the front office, again. Messaging apps push announcements out. They do not help the family searching at 9 p.m. Clema answers the question they asked, with a link to the source.

Sample built from the kinds of pages a district publishes. Cedar Valley School District is fictional, and so are its pages. Real answers come from your own site.

One district site in, one cited assistant out

  1. Step 1: Share your site

The district site plus school subdomains, and any folders to skip.

  2. Step 2: Clema reads everything

Pages, PDFs, calendars, handbooks and forms, following your robots.txt.

  3. Step 3: It pulls out the facts families need

Dates, deadlines, hours, requirements and who to contact, each tied to its page.

  4. Step 4: Families ask

Clema answers with sources, and can search a school site together with the district site.

Our team sets this up with you in early access, and we check how your site is built first. Self-serve setup is not available yet. When your site changes, Clema can reprocess the pages that changed.

Designed with FERPA in mind

We do not claim a FERPA certification or SOC 2 report for this product.

Disclosed up front: Clema uses OpenAI models to process page text. We will go through our data handling terms with you before anything is installed. The compliance statements on our homepage describe Clema for IR.

What it cannot do yet

  • Answers are in English today. We will list a language when it works and not before.
  • Scanned, image-only PDFs are not readable yet, such as a scanned bell schedule.
  • There is no live human handoff or text messaging.
  • Answers can be incomplete or wrong, which is why every one links to its source.

We would rather you hear the limits from us than find them as a parent.

Not another parent messaging app

Messaging platforms send notices to families. Clema answers a family's question on your website, when they ask it. Some website platforms include an assistant that runs on their own sites. Clema is a separate script added to the site you already have. We check how your site is built first.

General description of product categories, not a statement about any one product.

Where this fits in Clema

Clema is best known for institutional research in higher education, and that product is available today. The Schools assistant is a separate early-access product for districts and schools.

The security and compliance statements on our homepage describe Clema for IR.

Questions districts ask

It is an AI assistant you add to your school or district website. Clema reads your public pages and documents, then answers family questions in plain language with a link to the source page. It is in early access.
