How much does Clema cost?
Clema has four plans. Free is $0 forever for a single analyst. Pro is $99 per month, Max is $299 per month, and both are cheaper billed annually (two months free). Enterprise is custom-priced for multi-campus and compliance-heavy institutions. Every plan is published, so you can compare before you talk to anyone.
Is there a free plan or a trial?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever: 20 AI conversations a month, one user, and full access to the nine public federal datasets with sources on every answer. No credit card required. You can upgrade to Pro or Max whenever your team is ready.
What counts as an AI conversation?
A conversation is one threaded exchange with Clema, where you can ask follow-up questions in the same thread. Free includes 20 a month, Pro 300, and Max 1,000. On Pro and Max you can buy additional conversations for $29 per 100 if you run over.
Can I pay monthly, or do I have to commit to a year?
Pro and Max can be paid monthly or annually. Annual billing gives you two months free ($990 a year for Pro, $2,990 a year for Max). Enterprise is an annual contract scoped to your institutions.
How many people can use one plan?
Free is one user. Pro includes 3 team members, Max includes 10, and Enterprise is unlimited seats. Everyone on a paid plan shares a team workspace with saved answers and templates.
What do I get on Enterprise that I do not get on Max?
Enterprise adds live SIS and data warehouse connections, predictive analytics, institution memory, single sign-on (SAML), a full audit log, API access, Tableau and custom integrations, HECVAT and FERPA alignment, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, and an SLA. It is built for multi-campus systems and IT-governed rollouts.
Is my institutional data secure?
