Where does the institution data come from?+

All figures come from public federal sources: the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) for enrollment, staffing, and outcomes, and the College Scorecard for cost and graduate earnings, both published by the U.S. Department of Education.

Can I filter colleges by state, control, level, or Carnegie class?+

Yes. Filter the directory by state, public or private control, 4-year, 2-year, or less-than-2-year level, Carnegie classification, and federal designations like HBCU, HSI, Land-grant, and Tribal, then open any college for its full federal data profile.
